Music Blackout Boogie Rockin’ Record Hop use the very latest in technology. Though the records we play are over fifty years old we have mastered 78s, vinyl and CDs to digital format to enable us to bring along over ten thousand records to every event. Our state of the art system also allows us to search the entire collection by artist, track title, album title or simply keywords to find the tracks you want fast and efficiently. |
We have a complete mix of options available with back up equipment at the ready should it be needed. We can mix tracks digitally from ipods and external hard drives and also have the back up and compliment of a CD mixer and vinyl input. If you have a specific track on CD we can drop it into the mix.
Our decks are like no other as they have been custom built into a 1940s Steamer trunk to add to the vintage style of the event.
Lighting - LET THE MUSIC LIGHT THE ROOM!
Because we specialize in vintage rhythms we concentrate on the music and don’t need a whole lot of lights to go with it.
We do not have a huge light display with gogos and panels but we do have some minimalist lighting to compliment the event. We keep it very simple and use whatever lighting the venue has already. We sometimes use more subtle lighting and glitter balls but only if requested.
We always carry everything on board and will tailor the experience to meet your needs.
Movies - THE ICING ON THE CAKE!
Blackout Boogie Rockin’ Record Hop provide an exclusive compliment to your event with a full movie/video show with clips and movies from the 1940s and 1950s as a visual reference point.
We have a fantastic selection of vintage movies, exclusive dance clips with jitterbuggin’ and jivin’ (EXTREMELY ADDICTIVE), public information short films from Britain and the US, vintage cartoon clips (KIDS LOVE THEM), vintage hot rodding clips, vintage TV commercials and a whole host of black and white miscellaneous clips to add a fantastic background to your event.
The movie screen becomes especially valuable at gigs where there is no band and you want a visual reference for the guests. The selection of vintage dance clips are truly incredible and will keep your guests hooked and promot them to jump up onto the dance floor.
